So I guess you may have already heard of the oil gushing through a damaged oil well owned by BP off the Gulf of Mexico. It's been spewing oil on the gulf for over a week now. Experts say it will take at least 3 months to contain the oil spill. Imagine the damage to marine & animal life and the coastal regions it will caus in that time. This is such terrible news. How could BP have allowed this to happen?

It's absolutely shocking that a Company like BP could simply take so long to even consider trying to stem the flow of oil. Their inability to placate the press/ media has done them serious damage on the PR front, but their lack of action looks to have caused irrecoverable damage to the local environment.
